Toddlers (1-2 years), on the other hand, only demand 11 to 14 hours of sleep, and the curve only slopes down further from there. Somewhere between the ages of 3-5, your child will only need about 10 to 13 hours of sleep—after that, they’re more or less sleeping like you!
Babies also experience shorter sleep cycles than adults. While adults typically experience 90-minute sleep cycles, babies experience sleep cycles that last between 40-50 minutes. This means that they will wake up more frequently throughout the night.
